Raman is a NHS Community Paediatric Consultant working in Great Western Hospital in Swindon. He has over 20 years' experience working with children and specialises in neurobehavioural conditions and neurodisability. He is currently clinical lead for neurodisability in Swindon.

Raman qualified from Manchester University in 2003 and completed membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics in 2009. He completed higher specialist training in community paediatrics in 2013 and has published papers in BMJ Open and Pediatrics.

 

Raman has previously undertaken clinical leadership roles as Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children as well as Chief Clinical Information Officer for Great Western Hospital Trust.

Raman has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ADHD and ASD and has presented research at the RCPCH annual conference on QB testing as well as rates of neurobehavioural conditions in children born prematurely.

 

Raman has a particular interest in ADHD transition to adult care and has developed pathways around this. Raman has trained medical students, junior doctors, GPs and nurses in child development and the recognition of ASD and ADHD.

Raman has completed a BSc in Physics in 2012 and completed a MSc in Astrophysics with Liverpool John Moore's University in 2020. He has published as a co-author in Astrophysical journals and has a comprehensive knowledge of Minecraft.
