DIRECTIONS

PLEASE NOTE: LITFIELD HOUSE IS NOT IN LITFIELD ROAD – IT IS LOCATED ON CLIFTON DOWN ROAD. LOOK FOR THE RED POST BOX – THIS IS DIRECTLY OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEMS WILL NOT DIRECT YOU TO LITFIELD HOUSE. Satellite Navigation Systems will take you to Litfield Road. Follow Litfield Road until you come to CAMP ROAD. Litfield House Medical is at the top of Camp Road on the right hand side.

 

From the M5:
M5 Junction 19 – Follow the A369 and then onto the B3129 following signs for Clifton. Cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge (a £1 contactless payment is required). After you cross the Bridge take your first left onto Observatory Road and at the junction turn right onto Clifton Down Road. Litfield House is located on the left hand side of the road at the corner of Camp Road. There is a red post box outside.

M5 Junction 17 – Follow the A4018. Follow signs to the City Centre. Continue along the A4018 for around 4 miles. You will cross a large open area, The Downs. At the end of this follow the short one-way system around the roundabout and follow signs for the zoo along the A4176 (Upper Belgrave Road). Continue along the A4176 passing the zoo on your left and then take your second left. Follow this road (Clifton Down) up to the top of the hill and Litfield House is situated on the left hand side on the corner of Camp Road. There is a red post box outside.

Parking:

We have limited parking to the front of house for our patients to use during their appointment times.  On-street Pay & Display parking meters Mon-Fri  9.am-5pm (first 30 minutes are free, see meter for terms).  Meter parking is £1.20 for the first hour and then £1 for every additional hour (maximum 5 hours).

Sat-Nav Users:

If you are using a sat nav the post code (BS8 3LS) will state Camp Road and not Litfield Place. At the top of Camp Road to your right, you will see a red post box just to the front of Litfield House.

 

From Wales:

Leave the M4 at Junction 22 and join the M49. At Junction 18 follow signs for Bristol along the Portway (A4). Take a left at the traffic lights onto the A4162 sign posted ‘Westbury-On-Trym’.  Take your second right, which is at a set of traffic lights, onto the B4054 (Shirehampton Road). Continue on the B4054 for around 2 miles until you reach a large roundabout. Take the third exit following signs for Clifton along the A4176. Continue along the A4176 passing the zoo on your left and then take your second left. Follow this road (Clifton Down) up to the top of the hill and Litfield House is situated on the left hand side on the corner of Camp Road. There is a red post box outside.

 

From London:
Leave the M4 at Junction 19 and join the M32. Follow the M32 into the City Centre and then follow signs for Clifton along the B4051. Continue on the B4015 up Park Street and at the top you will see the Wills Memorial Building on your right. Proceed straight and follow the one way system which veers to the right and then left. Keep left past the large Palladian building and you will come to a double roundabout. Go straight over the first, and then take the third exit of the second one going right onto Pembroke Road. Take the second left into Clifton Park and continue up the hill. We are located at the top of the hill on the corner of Camp Road.

From Gloucester:
Leave the M5 at Junction 15 and join the M4. Follow the directions from London.

 

Train:
Take the train to either Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads stations. Bristol Parkway station is approximately seven miles from Litfield House Medical Centre and 20-30 minutes by taxi. Temple Meads station is closer to Litfield House and is located in the City Centre. It is about three miles away and about 15-20 minutes in a taxi, dependent on the traffic. Taxis are readily available outside both stations.

Bus:
Bus number 8 departs from Temple Meads Train Station. They will stop near Christ Church in Clifton which is a few minutes’ walk from Litfield House.  Please check https://www.firstbus.co.uk/bristol-bath-and-west for the most up to date bus routes from alternative starting points.

​

Bristol Airport:
Litfield House is about 30-40 minutes from Bristol Airport. Taxis are readily available at the airport and can be booked at the taxi office located outside of the airport, to pre book, please use the following link https://www.arrowcars.co.uk/location/bristol/, alternatively Uber Taxis operate in and around Bristol. There is also a bus service which leaves the airport on a regular basis. This will take you to Bristol Temple Meads train station, the bus station or the Clifton Triangle. The A2 service will take you to all locations and the A1 will take you to the train and bus stations. From the train station you can take a taxi to Litfield House which will take about 15-20 minutes.

Bristol  Clean Air Zone (CAZ):
The Government has set legal limits for pollution and they have introduced a Clean Air Zone to ensure Bristol meets those limits within the shortest possible time. Bristol’s zone is now live (since 28/11/22).  You must pay to drive within the zone if your vehicle does not meet the zone’s emission standards, unless you have an exemption.

​

Litfield House is not in the Clean Air Zone, but if you are travelling by car to Litfield House, first check whether your car will be charged in the CAZ, on the following link:
