BSc (Hons); PGCert

donnna.png

Donna is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over a decade of practice across the NHS, specialist educational settings, and independent work. She has a strong background in assessing and supporting the sensory and motor needs of children, including those in foster care.

After graduating with First Class Honours in Occupational Therapy from the University of the West of England in 2015, Donna went on to complete postgraduate training in Sensory Integration through Sensory Integration Education and Ulster University in 2019.

Her professional focus is on recognising and supporting children and young people with motor coordination difficulties and sensory–motor challenges. She is particularly passionate about raising awareness of the long-term impact these difficulties can have on daily life, learning, and mental health, which are often underestimated or misunderstood.

Donna currently divides her time between her NHS role, where she works with children and educational staff across schools in South Gloucestershire, and her work with BICP, where she carries out formal assessments to identify motor coordination difficulties in children and young people.
