Emily Reynolds

Emily qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 2012 and has had many years’ experience working with children and young people across community CAMHS, where she currently holds roles as Learning Disability Lead, Nurse Prescriber.

 

Her work has included autism and ADHD assessment, intervention, multi‑agency collaboration, and supporting families to navigate education and care systems. Emily became an Independent Prescriber in 2023 and is highly experienced in prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication, ensuring treatment is safe, evidence‑based, and centred to each young person’s needs.

 

Throughout her career, Emily has worked extensively with autistic and neurodivergent children and young people. She is passionate about the strengths within neurodiversity and is committed to approaches that are collaborative, respectful, and grounded in each child’s lived experience.

 

Alongside her NHS role as a Clinical Specialist, Emily works with BICP to offer assessment and management of medication for children and young people with ADHD.
