Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs)

Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) are a range of conditions that affect the way individuals learn, including dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia. Recognition of these conditions is essential in order to ensure children receive the tailored support and resources they need to thrive in their education.

With the right support, SpLDs don't have to be a barrier to learning.

At BICP we feel that children being assessed for Autism and ADHD often have difficulties with SpLD, that require recognition and formulation into that child's care plan. In many cases these are missed during an assessment.

As such, BICP will be offering assessments for SpLD within our service in due course
